POLICIES

Our customers health and safety are our top priority! Anyone displaying any symptoms of COVID-19 will not be permitted to take classes. Masks are optional. Facility Dance Company has the right to adjust mask rules as we see fit.  If someone is not signed up for class, they will not be permitted to come in and spectate - with the exception of some of our youth classes. No animals on the premises unless it's a service animal. If you require a service animal, please email us. 

There are certain inherent risks associated with any activity organized by Facility Dance Company LLC and by participating, students assume full responsibility for personal injury to themselves and (if applicable) their family members, and further release and discharge Facility Dance Company LLC and Movement by La Vie for injury, illness, loss or damage arising out of their or their family's use of or presence upon the facilities of Facility Dance Company LLC and Movement by La Vie, whether caused by the fault of them, their family, Facility Dance Company LLC, Movement by La Vie or other third parties. Participants should notify the instructor of any medical conditions or injuries prior to class. It is the participant’s responsibility to consult with a physician before engaging in any physical activity.

BOOKING: Students must book in advance online through our booking system to reserve their spot - there will only be a certain number of spots available per class. Walk-ins are accepted but know that if you walk-in you are not guaranteed a spot in class. If the class has reached its capacity, you can choose to be put on a wait list. If a spot opens up, those on the wait list (starting with whoever requested to be put on the list first) will automatically be added to the class and given priority before walk-ins. 

PAYMENT: All payments must be made in full prior to the start of a class, workshop, pop-up, special project or event. Class packages and memberships are non-transferable and non-refundable unless otherwise specified. If you are a walk-in, you have the option to pay by card, cash, Venmo, or ApplePay. 

CLASS PACKAGES AND MEMBERSHIPS:  Class Packages are purchases paid in full at the time of checkout that do not automatically renew. Class Packages are good for 90 days starting on the date of purchase. Your membership automatically renews, and you will be automatically billed until we receive notification that you want to cancel the membership. Late payments may be subject to a late fee of $50. Membership Cancellation Policy: Members can cancel their membership by providing written email notice to us at facilitydancecompany@gmail.com at least 14 days before the next billing cycle. If a written email notice is given less than 14 days before the next billing cycle, the member will still be billed for that upcoming billing cycle, and the membership will not be cancelled until the next billing cycle. No refunds will be provided for partial months. College students and active-duty military get 10% off packages and memberships - must show your student/military ID in person at the studio before purchasing your discounted class package or membership.  Class packages, single class purchases, and memberships cannot be used for special events, workshops, pop-ups, or master classes. 

Classes will be held at Movement by La Vie - 1219 Morena Blvd San Diego, CA 92110. Customers must bring their own water, shoes, clothing, etc. to class. No food or drinks are permitted inside except water. Students must always be respectful of the instructor, the studio, and other students. Our adult classes are for ages 18+. If minors age 14-17 want to take an adult class, they must have consent from their legal guardian. All participants are expected to arrive on time and be prepared to participate in the activities they signed up for. If students are more than 30 minutes late to class, they will not be allowed to enter the class. Proper attire and footwear must be worn to ensure safety and respect for the space.

Disruptive behavior that affects the learning environment, instructor, or other participants will not be tolerated. Personal belongings are the responsibility of the individual, and Facility Dance Company LLC and Movement by La Vie are not liable for any lost or stolen items.

Facility Dance Company LLC is a supportive and inclusive environment for dancers of all backgrounds and levels. We expect all participants to show respect to instructors, staff, and fellow dancers. Any form of harassment, discrimination, or bullying will not be tolerated and may result in immediate termination of your participation without refund.

All students must enter through the front door, tell whoever is up front that they are checking in for a Facility Dance Company class, go through the check-in process, and then they will be shown to the room where class will be held. 

All sales are final. No refunds will be processed.  Refunds are not offered for missed classes, late cancellations, or no-shows unless otherwise stated. You will receive a credit back to your account if your reservation is cancelled at least 5 hours before the start time. If you cancel your reservation after the 5-hour window, you will be charged a $10 late cancellation fee. If you no-show, you will be charged a $15 no-show fee. 

If Facility Dance Company has to cancel a class, workshop, pop-up, or special event, we will contact those signed up and their credits will go back on to their accounts. In some circumstances, when Facility Dance Company is the one to cancel, we will issue a refund on a case-by-case basis. 

By participating in classes, workshops, po-ups, and/or special events, you agree that Facility Dance Company LLC may take photos or videos for promotional purposes. If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, please inform the instructor or staff before the class begins. Any recording of classes by participants without prior consent is prohibited.

Any choreography, routines, or artistic material taught or created by instructors at Facility Dance Company LLC is the intellectual property of Facility Dance Company LLC and the respective choreographers. You agree not to record, reproduce, or publicly perform any choreography taught during classes without the explicit permission of the choreographer or Facility Dance Company LLC.

Choreography learned in classes may not be used for commercial purposes or in professional performances without prior approval. If you wish to use choreography or material from classes for performances, competitions, or any public display, you must obtain written permission and give appropriate credit to the choreographer and Facility Dance Company LLC.

There is parking in the parking spaces directly in front of the studio - but not to the left in front of the restaurant. There is parking in the parking lot that is down the alley behind the studio. There is parking in the parking lot of San Diego Mental Health Services directly across the street from the studio only after 5pm. There is also street parking. 

When registering for any classes, workshops, pop-ups, or special events, every student must agree to/sign our Liability Waiver before moving forward and reserving your spot. We have the right to refuse service to anyone who does not follow our terms and conditions and policies.
